Hi Talksina,
Hmmm.... I'm really concerned and baffled as to the cause of your crash. 
It is possible the issue is do to the fact you are running a foreign 
distribution of Windows, but that really shouldn't effect anything.
By chanse did you install beta 2 before beta 3? If so remember Beta 2 
created some bad product keys that needed removed prier to installing 
Beta 3. If that isn't the case then there is something else missing or 
broken.
Question did you attempt to reinstall DirectX 9.0C after installing .Net 
3.0? Sometimes, but not always that will correct any dependancies issues.
