Hi, I managed to fix the Sapi 5 issue by trying the procedure suggested by Sean Mealin on this list. Thanks, Sean, it worked, though I never would have thought it would. In any case, I can now play AudioQuake again, and Monty, among other games. The only downside to this situation is that I suck at AQ, at least--turns confuse the heck out of me.
