I'm not sure. But certainly I can say that what coops has done here works absolutely fine with me and I use window eyes.
It's funny because in firefox, if I was to use the ship loadout, specials an pod screens they worked fine. Try it in internet explorer though and it just red the address to where the label was focused on. So I really couldn't tell you there. I wasn't fussed myself because it worked for me as I use ff to play ce exclusively now as I find over all that it wworks far far better than ie does with ce. I will admit though that what coops has done here is perfect and he does deserve a pat on the back for it. -----Original Message----- From: gamers-boun...@audyssey.org [mailto:gamers-boun...@audyssey.org] On Behalf Of dark Sent: 29 November 2010 13:39 To: Gamers Discussion list Subject: Re: [Audyssey] To all core exiles players please read Hi Darren. I'm afraid it was me being the discontented so and so that I am who went and hassled coops about fixing the lables for this (sinse counting tab presses really isn't good). This solution though works fine with Hal, and is deffinately the best possible way around sinse it gives exactly the same info as is available graphically. Btw, I'm not sure what this business with window eyes lable reading rules on web pages is. It actually came up recently on the audiogames.net forum sinse Richard and Sander instituted a calma system, and while the button lables initially read fine with hal and jaws, they dind't with We. I'd actually be interested to check the reason for this, and which property of controls needs to be defined to make them readable for We, sinse unlabled buttons and controls are one of the main agrovations in online web based games, but it's obviously no use me poking developers (as I sometimes do in my work for audiogames.net), to lable controls if it's not going to be helpful for we users. Indeed, I've been trying to work out a set of standardized "how to make an accessible web game" type guidelines with john Banic of 7-128 software, so it'd probably be worth knowing about this and it going in there as We is one of the big three where screen readers are concerned. Beware the grue!
