well I know that at least on windows 7 you don't have access to
windows or program folders by default.
You need to ask for access first once you say you want to then you
can any time you want.

The other thing might be that my coupling game does want to write
text files so that you can edit them and I hear that depending on
the Windows settings it will not let a program do that in some folders.
