Hi Jim, Windows XP does not have User Account Control. UAC was added in Windows Vista and is available in Windows 7 and Windows 8 as well. That is why Windows XP has a little more flexibility in accessing folders etc. XP didn't have the same security features built into newer Windows operating systems.
