Hi Tom.
Unfortunately where as jo diva gave permission for his books to be converted
to html, the same is not true of the original fighting fantasy books by
steeve jaxon and ian livinston, and all my efforts to contact the publishers
on the subject haven't been successfull (they've flat out ignored me in
fact).
Even with lw, they are now releasing updated versions of all the books with
more content which of course have no accessible versions, (god I hate
publishers! burn them all!).
On the plus side however, I know for a fact at least one of the original ff
series, sorcery by Steve jaxon has been converted to Iphone format, which I
believe from phil's list is accessible (I certainly wish to try it). so
hopefully we'll see accessible versions being published for that platform at
least, plus there are several other people producing Iphone gamebooks,
though how many of them work with vo I don't know at this point (I've heard
starbreed doesn't, but of the tinman ones or the saintgeorge ones I don't
know).
On the plus side however, there is a huge! range of stuff available on the
net which is just as good as the original ff and often better, the
chronicles of arborell being one such, ff project being another, there are
even some good items on chooseyourstory.com (though that site has a lot of
dross as well), and don't forget with darkgrue there is always the
possibility to write your own, something I plan on doing myself.
Beware the Grue!
Dark.
