Hi, by the way! This is my first post here. I'm not new to Lisp at all, but I think this is an important endeavor and I'll help with it if I can. Another thing which I think is big is having a single central repository of software - something others have mentioned already. CCLAN already exists, but looks to be unmaintained. It has some nice infrastructure for mirroring across servers, that seems worth keeping; could gardeners take over the maintenance? It would also be nice if there were a web page with descriptions of each package, something like what common-lisp.net does now but for all programs, not just the ones hosted on CL. -- Dan Knapp |
