Since this is the first time I post something on the list, here's a short introduction: I'm an IT worker/student/free software addict from sunny Finland and I do web applications for living. A year ago, I discovered lisp on my long journey to find The Programming Language. Since then I have been goofing around and reading books and all kinds of writings about lisp but never really managed to get to coding. The gardeners project struck me as a brilliant idea and I really wish something great comes out of it, even better if there's a way for me to contribute to it..
> The motif-look of Tk doesn't appeal to me either. But it seems to be > possible to make better looking > Tk applications. See here: Well I think Tile got already mentioned but I think it really deserves a look. http://tktable.sourceforge.net/tile/ The website looks.. primitive, but don't let it fool you. It's supposed to be an old and mature project (being integrated to tk itself). Look through all the screenshots and tell me if it's not Good Enough. If ltk has support for tile (or it's possible to add with not too much work) I think it would make ltk even stronger a candidate. This is not to say I'm not very interested in clim(or duim)+wxcl -idea. I'm really looking forward to seeing that dream to become true one day but I fear it's so much farther away to be included in the lispbox in the near future. _______________________________________________ Gardeners mailing list [email protected] http://www.lispniks.com/mailman/listinfo/gardeners
