Really, meteors notwithstanding, being the #2 team in the AP, if we win out,
all the other polls should fall in line too. They're still the most
prestigious poll even if they're not in the formula. I'm sure everyone looks
to them before they fill out their ballots.

So... if we win out, there is NO SCENARIO that would deny us the NC game?

I am concerned by the number of coaches that want to vote Texas ahead of
Oklahoma.

If Oklahoma wins out impressively, and we beat Bama, OK will be #1 or #2.

Its coattails could well pull up Texas as well; a lot of people want to put
Texas over Oklahoma due to the head to head match-up.

The computers favor Texas over UF (due to the insane requirement that margin
of victory - or loss - must be irrelevant).

There is an argument that loss to an unranked team at home (UF) is worse than
a road loss (Southern Cal) or a neutral site loss to a ranked team (Oklahoma).

So, I have not ruled out a scenario where - if we win out - we are #1 or #2
in the AP yet #3 in the BCS behind OK and UT.

It has happened before; Southern Cal has been #1 and boxed out of the
Championship game.

So - I'm rooting for OK State this weekend.
