Steve:

I must be talking another language.

Did you read my post? I was talking about the first game especially - and
carrying over to games 2 and 3. They looked like I was coaching them.

I've already said by the Kentucky game they looked much improved. That is
how I had expected them to look in the first game.

I agree that these coaches (or rather the coaches we've had in the past
under Urban Meyer) have achieved great results. That is why the first
couple of games were so unbelievable.

My problem was the point where we started from this year. If we played in
the first game as well as we did in the Kentucky game - where would we be 4
games later? We only get 12 games in the regular season. Every game counts
- a lot. When they start the season horribly - as they did - I don't think
they progress as much - over the year - as if they are blowing people out
and playing a lot of the backups.

Then Alag8r starts trying to twist my comments into saying these coaches
suck, always have sucked, will always suck in the future. That is
completely out of context.

Screw it.

offense finds its identity

Seriously Keith - did you watch the game Saturday night?

I counted one bad snap - and I have seen other teams with more than that
recently.

I saw some running plays between the tackles with huge holes for the backs
to run through - did the defenders all just fall down?

I saw WRs running open and making some great downfield blocks.

Did I see all of this happen on every play? Of course not. Guess what?
There's not a team in the country - and I'm talking about ones that play on
Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays - that did everything thing right every
play.

If we were still playing the way we played against Miami of Ohio, or even
the first half against USF I could understand, and would share, your concern
about the coaching staff.

But, from my point of view, I see a team that is getting better every game.

We may not win every game this year. We never have, and that covers a lot of
years and a lot of different coaching staffs. But we are one of the premier
programs in college football, and for most of my life that statement would
have been laughable.

A few years ago, USC seemed untouchable - where are they now?

If there's a program that has recruited as well as us the last few years,
and the one that makes more money than football than us, it's Texas. They
just lost at home to an unranked UCLA team that was recently shut out
themselves at their home.

So forgive me for not buying into the doomsday scenario.

Feel free to be concerned all you want. I know that we can get better. I
guess the difference is that I think we are.

The strength of our team - the OL - can't block?

WRs that don't know how to block and what routes to run?

I don't want this for years to come.

May we continue to have these "serious coaching problems" for many years to
come.
