You are absolutely correct. However, one of the great things about Gatortalk is that we get to come in here and give our view points and second guess the coaches. Since the game was invented there has been someone willing to expound their view point as to what is wrong or right with the team. IMHO, that is part of being a fan. Look, I have no idea what is going in practice and I believe that Meyer and Company know more about this team and the players than I ever will. But I do not participate on this list to hear what Leon did in the big one (WWII), how far Jay rowed, Oliver ran, what my car looks like, or how much reefer I smoked back in the good old days. I participate to talk football and sometimes that requires me to talk in less than positive light about my beloved Gators. I base my opinions on what I see and read, the difference is if my opinions are wrong it doesn't get me fired, only insulted. I also know that I can't base my opinion on one or two games to start the season, but I have seen enough after 5 games to know that this year's OL is not playing as well as last year's OL and yet 4 of the 5 starting linemen from last year's line return this year. Your implied that Addazio is spread too thin, BTW, I believe there is some merit to that opinion, and the OL has suffered because of that. You believe that if Meyer thinks otherwise, and apparently he does, then you can accept that because he knows more than everyone on Gatortalk combined. Guess what, I feel the same way about my opinions as well. I apologize if using the word vote offended you it was not my intention. My intention was to let Zeb know that "I can accept whatever decision that Coach Meyer chooses with regard to the OL situation, but if my opinion were to count for anything other than discussion fodder I would have the tendency to concur with your analysis".

I am not going to vote against the guys that have actually seen all of our players in practice. If they feel that the OL lineup that we have now gives us the best chance to win, I am not going to presume that us non-professionals who haven't seen one minute of practice know better. With that said, I am just as concerned as everyone else. The OL has not performed up to expectations and I expect that our coaches will address. My feeling is that Addazio is spread too thin and we need him to be coaching the OL full time. However, if Urban thinks that he needs to continue to do both, I accept that because I am convinced that he knows more than everyone on gatortalk combined. rick ----- Original Message ----- From: "Randy Platt" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, October 04, 2010 8:29 PM Subject: RE: [gatortalk] for what it is worth... > This plan has my vote.
