Agreed. I think that some of the hiring and assignation of duties occurred at a time when his personal health was being given priority over the health of the program. Now he'll have to either assert the level of control required for the team to look and act like a team again, or else acknowledge that he is unable to do so. For me, this will be his make or break year (and the clock has started on that year as of now). Like I said earlier, I don't think we have to be #1 next season, but we can't continue to be a train wreck.
