Well said, Aditya!! No I am not uncomfortable about it, because of the same reason that I am not uncomfortable about JJR Tolkein writing about hobbits even though I have it on good authority that he is not a hobbit; and because Dame Judi Dench playing Elisabeth I in Shakespeare is OK even though she is certainly not royalty; and for the same reason that I am OK with Shekhar Kapoor directing Elisabeth, a movie about a woman, even though the director is a man, sports a beard, and some have seen glimpses of his jewels in some of the pool scenes in his early movies. Sidney Sheldon writes primarily about female charecters, even though he is a man.
WHY should we presume that only gay writers have a mono[poly over gay writing, and only gay actors can play charecters. its just silly. best, Aditya On 02/01/06, queercommando <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Isn't anyone else slightly uneasy about a gay film written by a woman and starring two straight (correct me if I am wrong)actors?
