Myself I did not encounter it, whether with gcc15 (I had built a few pre-release snapshots of it) or with gcc16 now (16.1.0 release), on 10.6.8 ppc. All my builds were on G5 hardware though, while all failures so far reported happened on G4 (this still may be a coincidence, of course). It seems that this is neither something deterministically broken in MacPorts or my PPPorts (otherwise I would have seen this failure) nor something specific to a given user's environment (since at least three people reported it, using somewhat different environment, including different macOS versions).
