Thoughts?

We don't want to open the flood gates to random recruiters for random software, however, I never saw the harm in solicitations from gcc contributors for people to work on gcc. If we were to relax the current policy, we can have a policy of only write-after or better people can advertise. Also, the FSF will require that the job advertised be for free-software and free of non-free things (see http://www.fsf.org/jobs/). So, one cannot say, Word experience required, or wanted people to work on gcc and Visual Studio.

I think that maybe a section in the wiki might be an interesting compromise and allowing just a pointer to it on the list.

Back in the 97-99 timeframe I was the one asking, and I was directed to comp.compilers and the FSF's jobs site (http://www.fsf.org/ jobs/). I looked on the wayback machine, and couldn't narrow the date.
