This seems to be long time ago. 
Sorry, spice3f5 is not longer part of the SuSE distribution I'm using, 
I'm not able to test it.

ngspice-17 is not that sensible about lower and upper case. Both 
versions work (.end and .END)

In theory it is not case sensitive, but sometimes it is. There are some 
bugs in spice3f5. In ngspice some of that bugs are gone.
