Hi Nilay,

1) Please do "vimdiff before_op_class_stats.txt after_op_class_stats.txt"
2) Then search for sim_insts.
3) Use shift+n, you will find out that before one only has 2.1 billion
instruction simulated, whereas after one has 3.6 billion instructions.

Hi Nilay,

I attach 3 sets of config.ini and stats.txt:
1) before_{config.ini,stats.txt}: without changeset 10313
2) after_{config.ini,stats.txt}: with changeset 10313

I looked at the files from these two runs. I did not notice any anomaly. The change in simulation time is less than 1 in 8000 parts. That should be fine in most cases. Either you have posted wrong files or you are reading the statistics incorrectly.

3) 10365_{config.ini,stats.txt}: gem5 at 10365 changeset, currently most
updated version

Because the files are too big to be sent, here is my dropbox link:

All files are inside.

Thanks.
