Hello everyone,

I have a few questions about M5Threads. I am also trying to clarify in my mind a few other things with respect to executing parallel programs in M5. So, I hope that you can answer my questions and confirm whether I have understood correctly the following things.

According to the README of M5Threads, the Alpha architecture is currently not supported, because TLS support has not been added for this architecture. Is this still true (the last change in the README was in 2009)? If so, any possibility that TLS support will be added?

It is also my understanding that if M5Threads are not supported, it is not possible to execute a parallel program on M5 in SE mode. If so, this means that for Alpha I can use only FS mode, which also requires the full system files, right? But how do I add my executable files into these system files? Do I have to use every time linux-dist to create from scratch a new disk image? Or is it possible to somehow mount the existing disk image and simply copy the new file there? Any recommended procedure?

Thanks for any help!
