I don't know of any changes to support Alpha.  Most developers have moved on
to more widely supported ISAs, so I wouldn't count on someone adding support
that's not already there.  It may not be that hard to do yourself, though.

There's documentation on the wiki (and traffic on the mailing list) about
how to work with disk images; if you search those and still have questions,
speak up again.
