Telling a customer his video card is broken and telling a customer that
his video card is still good, but would be better if replaced with a
newer one is two totally different things. Video card works = truth.
Video card doesn't work = untruth. The younger fellow was directed to
tell an untruth, better known as a lie. Ahhh, I can see it now, the day
when practices like this become acceptable.

Customer : Hi, I'd like this new cd-rom I purchased installed

Tech guy: ok, let me see *bang* *clang* *bang*. Hey, your hard drive is
dead also, wanna buy this new scsi drive with a scsi controller?

Customer: but, but......it worked yesterday

Tech guy: Trust me!!!
