If your boss were to ask me for advice, I'd suggest he ask
you what company offers software support contracts for
whatever distribution you select.  This would be to protect
the company if you should be offered a contract to play
professional basketball in the NBA and they could no longer
afford your services.

Maybe there's even a local support vender for Debian; I
don't know.
