Got what, a straw man?  I never said that.  I think it should be easy for 
people to send mail.  Breaking up the network will destroy it's value and 
punish everyone for the actions of a guilty few.  

What it boils down to is that they are too cheap, lazy or scared of Microshaft 
to do anything but block port 25 outbound.   Cox can easily and instantly 
terminate their contract with someone who spams.  They can get in touch with 
them and warn them about what has happened and what they can do about it.  If 
it happens often, they cut the wire.   The mail they are complaining about is 
coming from razooed Windoze boxes and blocking a single port is not going to 
solve their problems.  If people were aware of the problem their computers are 
causing, they would work to fix it.  Blocking port 25 will just cause the 
script kiddies to move onto other malicious behavior, or get around the 
problem.
