freeradius seems to be the most feature-rich and actively developed.  see
www.freeradius.org.  It is a variant of cistron, but they forked a while
ago.  You can do a sql backend, or LDAP.  I plan to use the ldap backend
to authenticate 802.11b clients... as soon as i get the time. :)
