My husqvarna riding mower has a 12v lighter socket on the side of it
that is built in.
When the power goes out, I just plug in my 800w two outlet inverter in
the socket and run an extension cord into my house to power a few
items.
Works like a charm.  Best part is that I can throttle down my mower to
its lowest idle so it's not very loud at all.
