Good suggestion Gert.  Unfortunately the performance for the encode/decode of 
the binary makes MLJAM a nonstarter.

I appreciate the suggestion though.

Or you could setup an MLJAM instance next to MarkLogic Server. It comes down to 
the same, but it saves you some of the marshalling hassle..
