Hello Community, As we gear up for MarkLogic World<http://www.cvent.com/d/4tq5tr?RefID=apDevNews> next month, I wanted to take this month's newsletter to highlight five great reasons for developers to join us in San Francisco, California, May 7-10, 2018. Attending MLW will really help you accelerate your understanding of what's possible with MarkLogic!
1. MarkLogic University Classes on Monday MLU courses are available online, either on your own at your own pace<https://mlu.marklogic.com/selfpaced/>, or instructor-led<https://mlu.marklogic.com/registration/>. At MLW, you will have this great opportunity to take a course in person with MarkLogic University trainers on Monday, May 7th. Learn about MarkLogic Fundamentals<https://www.marklogic.com/learn/courses/marklogic-fundamentals/>, the Data Hub Framework<https://www.marklogic.com/learn/courses/using-marklogic-data-hub-framework-workshop/>, or take our popular MarkLogic for Business Users<https://www.marklogic.com/learn/courses/marklogic-business-users/>. Make sure to reserve your seat during registration! 2. Hands-On Workshops on Thursday You'll also have the opportunity to explore MarkLogic functionality hands-on, guided by MarkLogic experts. This year, we have three sessions lined up for Thursday, May 10th: Security, Deploy on the Cloud, and Optimizing Performance. Attendees at these sessions come away with a better understanding of the topic area, working code, and experience implementing some aspect of MarkLogic through guided exercises. 3. Technical Sessions: Technical and Advanced Technical Tracks This year's MarkLogic World user conference has more technical, deep-dive, instructive content than ever before. You'll hear about it from the people who built these features and from people who use them. We have split the technical track into two, allowing one track to focus on advanced topics - perfect for the experienced developer. 4. Meet the Engineers and Product Managers Speaking of the people who built those great features, MarkLogic World is attended by members of our Engineering, QA, and Product Management teams. Come meet the people who build MarkLogic, set up 1-on-1 appointments with our experts, and bring your questions! In addition, the Developer Lounge will be open throughout the conference and will always be staffed with MarkLogic experts. Stop by, ask your questions, bounce ideas around, or simple power up; you never know who you will run into! 5. Community Lastly, but definitely not least, come be a part of our community. You've met people on Stack Overflow and our email lists; it's time to get to know them in person! We are planning our inaugural MarkLogic World Hackathon<http://developer.marklogic.com/blog/marklogic-world-hackathon> which kicks off Monday night. Curious? I wrote about what we are planning<http://developer.marklogic.com/blog/marklogic-world-hackathon> and would love to meet you onsite. Did you know that all Hackathon participants will get a free MarkLogic Professional Certification Test promo code? Can't make it to California in May? Are you in Europe? Then come join us in Maarssen, Netherlands at MarkLogic 360<https://info.marklogic.com/360-roadshow-northern-europe-reg.html>, the biggest community event of the year in Northern Europe.
