Thanks for the good report! Some bit of the OLE monster is damaging fp
state. From experience I will venture this would be fruitless to track
down and a report to MS is pointless. Can you live with this workaround
or would you argue that the J ftont end should add a call to fpreset
after every mbopen?

Yes, you are correct. adding this line between wd'mbopen' and 0 e. _
__ _. is the solution. When it is removed, J crash again. I test on
win xp and I will later test on win me as well.
