I think a well organized site with some meat (or soy for the vegetarians) in the content goes a long way. If the choice is to spend time writing a good overview of the project goals and plans, or to make nice buttons that link to the overview on the landing page, I'd vote +1 for the content. We can always turn a text link in to a button at a later time if we want. But if we can do both, even better. > 2) what our goals are for 0.1 and how to communicate them I realize it's only 0.1, but I think we and our potential community are better served if we think of this as the Scooby project landing page (code now at release 0.1) that will persist as the project matures - thus I believe we should be thinking about and communicating what the 0.1 goals are within the context of the broader project goals. We should communicate what expectations should be for 0.1, but also what expectations should be for a more mature version.
