I had this problem for the first 4 or 5 days when I received the card. (I have
my A1200 netted so it wasn't too big a loss, just annoying) I downloaded the
latest software on day 2. Didn't make the slightest bit of difference. I
tried reseating, changing slots...nothing worked.
In the end it just started working.
Failed a few weeks later. Some time later worked a again.
Failed again a month later. Tried it in a friends A4000. Same problem.
As it is an internal card diagnostic, I put it down to an intermittent
hardware fault in the card and returned it. the vendor claimed never to have
seen the problem before. (Thanks for posting, it's good to know I wasn't the
only one).
It was very disapointing after having paid a lot of money for a basic 10Megs
ethernet card.
I won't be getting an Ariadne again. Will look at other options or not bother
as I have other internet options.
