Hi Valeria,

Thanks for giving the detailed steps for recreating your issue. Our
mailing list software strips attachments, but I followed your steps and
got the following output:

uc004dtz.2 27301 uc004dtz.2 APEX2 NM_014481
uc011mom.1 27301 uc011mom.1 APEX2

I looked up each of the 5 Entrez Gene identifiers that you provided at
the Entrez site (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/gene), including looking in
the "Also Known As" field. The results there are:

27301 is APEX2 (a.k.a. APE2; XTH2; APEXL2; APEX2)
79072 is FASTKD3 (a.k.a. MGC5297; FLJ23274; MGC142123; FASTKD3)
79675 is FASTKD1 (a.k.a. FLJ21901; KIAA1800; FASTKD1)
81031 is SLC2A10 (a.k.a. ATS; GLUT10; MGC126706; SLC2A10)
9238 is TBRG4 (a.k.a. CPR2; FASTKD4; KIAA0948; TBRG4)

Which all match the results from the Table Browser.

I also looked up some of the RefSeq identifiers here:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nuccore/

And they also seem to match:
NM_014481 is APEX2
NM_024091 is FASTKD3
etc.

Maybe you can clarify what the problem is that you are seeing with these
results?

If you are wondering why you are getting multiple outputs for the same
Entrez Gene identifier, that is because we associate each Entrez Gene
identifier with more than one UCSC Gene.
