Portage has been supporting setting of priority in /etc/portage/repos.conf for about 2.7 years. $ cat /etc/portage/repos.conf [name_of_overlay] priority = -1001 (`emerge --info -v` shows repositories with their priorities.) -- Arfrever Frehtes Taifersar Arahesis
