I and a friend are using uclibc based distros (by now, uwoody and gentoo) in desktop machines just because uclibc is much smaller and, specially in older machines, using uclibc instead of glibc makes a lot of difference. And libc5 is very old and nobody cares about... I think gentoo-embedded could have a name that embraces all the advantages in using linux with uclibc. I don't have knowledge to know if uclibc will some day take the place of glibc, but gentoo-embedded just rocks :-) bye, rafael diniz -- +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- Engenharia da Computao -- Unicamp Radio Muda, radiolivre.org, Centro de Mdia Independente, SubMdia, GPSL Chave PGP: http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0x2FF86098 -> orkut sucks, e naum estou nessa porcaria <- "Acreditar que um conhecimento pode ser vendido ou comprado uma forma sutil (e cruel) de perpetuar a ignorncia." +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-
