I had already unticked everything that is marked "EXPERIMENTAL" and everything was set as Module.
Unticking the realm match made the compilation go on. (Still beating my hard disks. ;-)

Indeed, there were some of the options in the Gentoo kernel that I couldn't get to compile, esp the netfilter options. Try turning off the 'realm matching' in the networking setting:
make menuconfig
Networking Options
IP: Netfilter Configuration
In here, tick everything as a module then untick stealth match support realm match support String match support (EXPERIMENTAL) IMQ target support CLASSIFY target support (EXPERIMENTAL) ROUTE target support
and that got mine working.
