I know this is probably mentioned somewhere, but I don't know where.

Whenever I boot I need to enter:

dhcpcd eth0

before my ethernet will come up and recognize the network. Simply starting
the dhcp daemon? But where would I put this to automate it? Or,
alternatively, what would be the smart way to automate this? Especially
keeping in mind that once the system is set up it will then use a fixed IP
and not have access to the internet. I'll have to change back when that
happens.

Thanks for any suggestions.
