This is why free software is good. Gentoo is forked, you can pick one,
the other, both, whatever you like. You can change your mind any time you
like. You can even fork it yourself if you like. No one can take all the
toys and go home :o)

Thankfully the GPL makes these pissy little battles rather easy to ignore,
and its _nothing_ compared to the fights you get in closed source
development - it's just looks worse because it's out in the open.
