Nothing except they are out of date. I just didn't see the directory since it has moved from linux/drivers/sound to linux-test/sound. I do think, however, that updated drivers (I.e. emerge alsa-driver) should be able to patch linux-test/sound in the future since Alsa continues to move forward and Gentoo users need to be able to get those updates.
