Having alsa in the use flags won't force alsa-driver to be installed. It *should* be in the use flags. I suspect the problem is that there is an old entry in /var/cache/edb/virtuals with: virtual/alsa media-sound/alsa-driver Jason -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
