You have to use certain options for the kernel config, just do a search in the mailinglist archive for nvidia framebuffer and you will find the correct options you have to use.
By the way I'm running 2.6 stable since yesterday, on my box everything is working X, nvidia drivers, sensors, alsa, sysfs. I just have one little issue at the moment, one programm while running needs about 20% of cpu time now with the old kernel it was between 5-10 percent, I'm just recompiling glibc and xfree to see if that helps. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Frank J.
