Hi,
   Post your fstab file, your grub.conf file and maybe your disk layout from
cfdisk or some other app that will show how you have the drive partitions
set up.

   My experience with Gentoo is that this part of the instructions is a bit
confusion, but technically correct. These usually come down to simple issues
I've created for myself.
