Continue 'listening in' to this mail-list. It's invaluable for the assistance. Join #gentoo (irc) and 'listen-in' there as well. Don't hesitate to ask any questions. You may want to start with a less aggressive stage (3 is a good choice for first-installs). It's not a 'weaker path' as some may suppose, but it will definitely give you as much of the joy without as much of the pain.
