standard procedure:

go http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/ and choose the manufacturer is
nvidia (the page you referred to says it is the nforce chipset, which is
made by nvidia)

this will tell you the name of the module you need (intel-8x0)

now follow the gentoo alsa instructions to the letter.
