You already opened a bug here which I try to fix :) What are the contents of /etc/udev/rules.d/. I guess among the files there are 70-libsane.rules and 40-hplip.rules or 55-hpmud.rules. If this is the case rename 40-hplip.rules or 55-hpmud.rules by changing the number to 71. Restart udev, "killall udevd && /sbin/udevd --daemon" should be sufficient. Afterwards try if printing and scanning works. -- Daniel Pielmeier
