No it doesn't. so thankfully, outside of your FUD, this is not true. There are scripts to automatically generate a configuration but grub-mkconfig is no more compulsory than genkernel - but both can make life easier when setting up multiple, different systems. -- Neil Bothwick Your lack of organisation does not represent an emergency in my world.
