ahh ... its running, but its NOT running correctly! (if you are referring to what I think you are) check if you have caching/buffering between you and the file (i.e., is it over NFS, cephfs etc) - e.g., this used to happen sometimes when trying to md5sum cdrom's whilst in a cd drive. Also, have you checked multiple mirrors and multiple digests? (I don't think I've seen that you have) BillK
