One more: I've just emerged sci-misc/boinc, and portage overwrote /etc/conf.d/boinc without asking for permission. I have /usr/share/applications/boincmgr-boinc.desktop in CONFIG_PROTECT; that was overwritten too. -- Rgds Peter
