Hum... I would not limit myself to blockers only, but surely want to avoid
the pull request merge deathmark
and last minute run at the fixes.
How about this, for any release the last 24/48 hours before the release are
"frozen", the release branch sees
no commits unless otherwise authorized?
And authorized means, sending a mail and asking for permission, and getting
at least two +1 from
PSC Members, no -1.
So yeah, that would only allow either serious fixes or trivial non
dangerous ones to get in (and few
of them, thus minimizing chance of interactions?).
I'm really open to any mechanism that avoids the last minute rush really.
