Hi Andrea:

Can we handle this through the usual nomination process? I would be
happy to nominate Michael Bedward who has a long standing pretense on
the user list and serves as an excellent representative of the
geotools project. There are many fine examples around; but I really
respect Michael for helping out where needed.

Sorting out module maintainers for the newly orphaned modules is a PMC
responsibility; I would be happy to have an IRC breakout session and
go over what needs to be done.
