The projection itself should only know about the various projection
name aliases, that are usually different for EPSG and ESRI.

The EPSG database in fact contains no definition of equidistant
conic projections. Yet one can still use it by building a CRS
by code or by creating a WKT spec for it and have the referencing
subsystem parse it.
