Yes, but ESRI database contains, and I could use ESRI reference codes within
applications.  My paramount goal is to display whole-Russia geology map, and
there is ESRI:102026 *Asia North Equidistant Conic*; the problem is that
territory of Russia is crossed by 180th meridian, and is displayed by many
GIS software incorrectly in universal projections (I also see you are
discussing this problem).

Actually, bit another projection is used in practice (different central
meridian, centered against Russia), but this is minor detail.   At least I
can read the data :)

Perhaps, our organization will suggest adding Equdistant Conic and some of
its CRSes to ESPG database.

I have managed to add fake ESPG code to Geoserver database (I haven't
managed to add as true ESRI code), and it seems to work.  After some extra
testing I will send a patch for GeoTools within a day or too.
