If the component is stand alone, the standard procedure it to become the owner of a module, but since you're contributing modifications to an existing one, the best would be to talk with the maintainer (M. Bedward) > - what should i do to contribute ? Is there a special packaging ? This is up to the maintainer to decide. > - what become of the intellectual property of the code ? Does my > client keep it or ihas it to be given to the community ? You have to sign a contribution agreement and give the IP to OSGEO.
